VERSE OF THE WEEK
All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever – 1 Peter 1:24-25
God’s Enduring Word
The famous French philosopher and atheist Voltaire once claimed, “A hundred years from now the Bible will be a forgotten book.“ Yet, after he died, the house where he lived became a printing press for the distribution of Bibles across the world. Voltaire has largely been forgotten… but the Bible has not. The divine purposes of God are achieved according to His Word. Isaiah 55:10-11 states, “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” To know His purposes, to know the “thing” for which He sent it, requires that you be a student of what He has said. Prioritize the reading and studying of your Bible and communicate to the Father in prayer. They are life and health to you.
